How Often Should You Take Family Photos?

I recommend that you take professional family photos at least once a year. Your family is constantly changing and the little ones don’t stay little forever so having at least an annual professional photoshoot will help you document your ever changing family. Another, benefit of an annual family photoshoot is the peace of mind of knowing that your family will have at least one photo together because we all know when life is happening it’s gets kind of hard to remember to take that photo.

When we think of family photos you probably think of the photos for the you will send for your holiday cards during new years and Christmas. But think about all the little things we miss when we only take photos during that time of year. If you have a newborn, toddler, or infant you know they are constantly changing so having photos taken during those key developmental stages will help you document their growth way more and you can even add these photos to your holiday cards. I would say for documenting purposes when your kids become teenagers taking family photos once a year would be fine.
