Initial Consultation

First things first, we’ll chat about your vision. Do you want an outdoor shoot in a beautiful park or a studio session? We'll talk about locations, outfits, props, and any specific themes you have in mind. This is also the perfect time to ask any questions you might have.

I remember a consultation with one mom who wanted to include her mother in her session for a generational photo. It was such a lovely way to bring in a personal touch and connect past and future generations.

Scheduling the Shoot

The best time for your maternity photoshoot is between 28-36 weeks of pregnancy. At this stage, your belly has that perfect roundness, and you're still comfortable enough to pose. I’ve had client schedule their session from 28-36 weeks along, and we were able to capture stunning photos of them and their rounde bellies.

Choosing Your Wardrobe

Choosing what to wear can be so much fun! Flowing dresses, fitted tops, and long skirts that highlight your bump are fantastic options. Solid colors and simple patterns work best to keep the focus on you. I always suggest bringing a couple of outfits to the shoot.

The Photoshoot Day

On the day of the shoot, expect the session to last an hour. Don’t worry about a thing—I’ll guide you through various poses and make sure you're comfortable the whole time. Just relax and enjoy the experience!

I had this one shoot where the mom-to-be was worried that her belly being too small and she would be shy. But as we got going, she started to relax, and by the end, she was glowing and confident. We got some of the most genuine and beautiful photos from that session.

After the Shoot

After our photoshoot, I’ll send you your photos in an online gallery. You’ll pick your favorite shots, which will then be edited for you.
